Florida Panthers – NHL
made Stanley Cup finals in 96 but then 2 seasons later they didn’t even make the playoff. This is in the NHL where almost everyone makes the playoff it seems
Miami Heat – NBA
Won NBA championship in 06 now, 2 seasons later they’re fighting to avoid being a “lottery” team
Florida Marlins – MLB
Won world series in 98 then next year only won 1/3 of their games and missed playoffs
Won world series in 03 then next year only finished 4 games above 500 and missed playoffs.
Except for the Dolphins, who are having their worst season ever, every other miami team seems to perform very badly the year after winning a championship or making it to the finals?
That’s eerie.Miami teams really are bad after they win titles.
I only watch Red Wings hockey being from Detroit so I can’ t explain what happened to the Panthers(In fact I thought the Lightning was the only NHL team Florida had. And although their in Tampa Bay not Miami they too haven’t done well since winning in 2004.)
The Marlins issues lie with their owner. Every time they win he gets rid of everybody and rebuilds to try and win all over again. That has never made sense to me. Then for him to fire the manager 2 seasons ago when the Marlins had a bad record but he was starting to turn things around and the players were starting to play better. That also made no sense.
As for the Heat, part of blame goes to the coach/gm(he should have never let Kapono go and as a coach he’s not pushing his players the way he use to), part injuries(Wade, JWills, all of Shaq’s injuries, and of course what happened this year to Zo), part the players(some just aren’t good enough, some underachieve, and in Shaq’s case he’s past his prime).
As for Dolphins I don’t know what’s wrong with them.
